Biography

Michelle’s career on BROADWAY has spanned a wide range of roles. She was the standby for Arachne, Aunt May and Emily Osborne in the Broadway production of SPIDER-MAN: TURN OFF THE DARK. Michelle was also in the Broadway company of MAMMA MIA! where she understudied and performed the lead roles of Donna and Rosie and was part of the ensemble. She starred as Evelyn Nesbit in the original Broadway production of RAGTIME. Her debut in a leading role on Broadway took place in Hal Prince's historic revival of SHOWBOAT where she frequently performed the role of Magnolia. Michelle made her Broadway debut in CYRANO, THE MUSICAL as the understudy for Roxanne and as part of the ensemble.

Her BROADWAY NATIONAL TOURS include MAMMA MIA! in which she starred as Donna for nearly two years and prior to that, as Tanya for a year. Michelle was in the 1st National Tour of THE SECRET GARDEN performing as Alice and covering the roles of Lily and Rose. She was a featured performer in the concert tour of THE MUSIC OF ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER. Other TOURS  include the production of SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS, starring as the leading lady Milly and the National Tour of ANNIE playing Grace Farrell.

Michelle originated the role of Evelyn Nesbit in the CHICAGO company of RAGTIME. She also performed as Elise and Annie understudy in the Chicago production of FIRST WIVES CLUB.

She has also performed leading roles in many of the best known REGIONAL THEATRE in the United States. She won the MAC award for Best Actress in a Musical, honoring her portrayal of Aldonza in the groundbreaking and innovative Arizona Theatre Company production of MAN OF LA MANCHA.

Michelle has performed as Donna in Mamma Mia! for 8 different regional productions across the country including the first ever regional production of that show. 

​

Starring roles in REGIONAL THEATRE include Helen in FUN HOME-Baltimore Center Stage. Eva Peron in EVITA -Pioneer Theatre Company, Lucy in JEKYLL & HYDE- Westchester Broadway Theatre and Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, Rizzo in GREASE-Pittsburgh CLO, Petra- A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC-Pittsburgh CLO, RuAnn and Bailey Stone in MAY WE ALL - the REV Theatre, Elsa in THE SOUND OF MUSIC, Candy in SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER, Glinda in THE WIZARD OF OZ, Nancy in OLIVER, Mary Magdalene in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, Julie Jordon in CAROUSEL, Maria in WEST SIDE STORY - Westchester Broadway Theatre, Irene Molloy in HELLO DOLLY - Gateway Playhouse.

Her Television credits include TONY AWARDS where she was a featured performer. Michelle represented the state of Vermont in MISS AMERICA where she won a most talented award and scholarship. Michelle has made guest appearances on LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT and ALL MY CHILDREN.

Michelle was born and raised in Vermont. She received a BFA from CARNEGIE-MELLON UNIVERSITY and currently resides in historic Tappan, NY.
